Whom We Fund
The board of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Charitable Foundation of Houston is grateful to your support as we work together to fulfill our mission to attract and to generate financial support for distribution to charitable organizations that meet the established philanthropic guidelines.
The foundation’s philanthropic focus is early childhood education and development, with a specific preference for programs that address the needs of children in the first six years of life and living in low-income households. We are so honored to fund Houston-area 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations that provide high-quality early childhood education and development programs that contribute to well-educated and healthy children, strong families, and a vibrant Houston community.
This year, based on our philanthropic guidelines, we provided grants to the following 25 outstanding local non-profit organizations: Arrow Child & Family Ministries, Avondale House, Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, BEAR, Casa de Esperanza, Casa Mateo, Collaborative for Children, Communities in Schools Houston, Community of Resources (COR)Houston, Dress for Success, Easter Seals of Greater Houston, ECHOS, Houston Alumnae Panhellenic Foundation, John Fontaine Jr. Charity, Kids Meals, Lemonade Day, Nehemiah Center Houston, New Hope Housing, Nora’s Home, Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston, Search Homeless Services, SoleAna Stables, Texas Hearing Institute ( Melinda Webb School), The Rise School of Houston, and Trees of Hope.
